About my sponsor

How does one value a relationship? How can one possibly put a price on something intangibly precious and gossamer?

I don’t know either, but that’s what we’ve done!

From henceforth, for an undefined period of time based on funness, kilobox communiqué is sponsored by and collaborating with Content Formula, those doyens of intranets, content strategy and web design.

You’re probably wondering how such an improbable event came about, but then, so am I.

It seems that Dan Hawtrey had been following my ranting here at kilobox.net for some time. Being the founder and managing director of Content Formula, he’s an experienced intranet maven and recognised the frustrations I blog about so frequently. We moved from tweeting to emailing, and then the tawdry subject of financial recompense came up and that’s when my eyes flashed and I was hooked. So we met in the heat of 2010’s summer (remember that?) to chew the fat.

If you look at Content Formula’s website, (and read their blog as I had been doing) it’s obvious why I like their stuff. People oriented, great design, great HTML code, subtle use of flash and a cavalcade of awesome clients that trust Content Formula to design and even manage their websites and intranets.

There are two things I want to tell you, my dear reader.

Secondly, I can assure you that no amount of money* can influence the opinions expressed here at kilobox communiqué. Editorial control remains firmly within my tightly clasped little hands, and you know my motto – publish and be damned!

My opinions, as per my claimr, remain mine and mine alone – and that’s the way you like and expect it I’m sure.

Content Formula design and build websites and intranets, and I love that intranets aren’t an afterthought. Content Formula doesn’t consider intranets to be ‘just internal websites’, they recognise the unique demands of internal users. Further, their name says something too, because Content Formula have invested in several key staff members whose focus is on content – and that is music to my ears and beauty to my eyes.

Content(+context)-waffle+Design = Meaningful and useful sites

Firstly, I’m just incredibly touched and blushingly proud to have been recognised by Dan and Content Formula as worthy of their attention. I have been blogging for many years, and really blogging about intranet and communication best practices since 2008.

I feel vitalised, and it’s gonna show in my productivity – so stand by for more quality best practice rants than you can shake an intranet at.

*I exaggerate for dramatic effect of course.

Welcome back! As you know, kilobox communiqué discusses the theory and practice of 'Internal Communications', including writing, channels (e.g. intranets), best practices, technologies and the needs of the audience. You can surf my site on the web or on your mobile device – same address: kilobox.net

I’m very proud to say that kilobox communiqué is sponsored by, and collaborates with, Content Formula, builders of intranets and crafters of online marketing campaigns.

Although I personally adore ‘web hits’, you may wish to subscribe to my RSS feed – I publish nearly 10 articles a month. Or maybe you'd prefer to subscribe by email at the top-right? You can follow me on Twitter too, I’m Wedge.
